The pandemic is affecting our mental health more than ever. People are finding themselves alone, without getting the time to have fun with friends or family and traveling has become close to impossible. In a scenario like this various games have become really popular. And one of them is Among Us.
Among Us is a game of manipulation, deceit, and teamwork. This game features three maps and includes 4 to 10 members at once. In these members, one, two, or three member(s) become the imposters whose task is to kill the other members. While the others become crewmates and their tasks become to save themselves from getting killed, to identify the imposters, and to complete the assigned tasks.
When the number of imposters becomes equal to the number of crewmates alive the imposters win the game. But if crewmates recognize the imposters and eject them or complete all the tasks then the crewmates win.
One thing that I have observed is that people leave the game after becoming imposters. So when I asked others, they said they are not confident enough in going undercover. So here are some tips on how to become a good imposter to win the game.
Always choose a dark color, because it is not easily discoverable.
Plan the sabotages beforehand like turning off lights and closing the gates can make other crewmates more vulnerable.
Know the use of vents; they are a good escaping route without getting discovered.
Understand the tasks other crewmates are doing and plan to seclude one from others.
Always keep your eyes open for the cameras. Never kill in front of a camera.
Learn the art of manipulation and don’t indulge in the blame game.
Try using reverse psychology but only do that when there are fewer crewmates
Before venting out check the surrounding sometimes crewmates could be present, so wait till they go.
Don’t follow anyone for too long, it can arise suspicion.
Even after these, there are chances that you may get caught, but that doesn’t mean you are going to be rude to other people. So chill down, play, and enjoy.
